As families escape Afghanistan and settle in the US, they start with few belongings as strangers in a strange land.  We work as their new community of friends, directing them to needed resources, collecting household items, and helping them shop for needed clothing, food, and other necessities.  ​

 

A family of ten relocated to Jacksonville, Florida, from Afghanistan in November 2021.  As of the summer of 2023, the adults have all secured employment, and the children are thriving in school. ​Generous donations from all over helped to make all of this possible.  As new families arrive, we will ask for specific donations of clothing and household items.
