The sweet boy in the picture with our family lived with us for nine months while receiving medical treatment. He endured several painful surgeries and treatments. Through it all, he attended school and thrived. Every individual who met him here remembers him as remarkably kind, gentle, and intelligent. To quote the doctor who treated him, "He has changed my life forever for the better."

He returned to his home in the Middle East to his large, loving family. Fast forward 11 years, and we still speak regularly to the sweet boy we consider our son and his family.

Because of his travel to the US, subsequent employment with a US-based nonprofit, and his brother's loyal service to our military, when the country fell on August 16, 2021, this family went into hiding, knowing their lives were in certain danger.

Only through God's grace have we been able to send them money for food and clothing to survive, as no one has been able to work. Countless hours, sleepless nights, endless research, reams of paper, and tons of emails later, we have successfully filed the necessary paperwork to start the long process of bringing them safely to the US. We wish to share more of the story, but we must be cautious about their safety.

Each of them has a plan for what they will do once they are in the US—everything from working in the medical field to construction work to finally getting an education. They are a joyful, loving, and hard-working family that longs to be productive members of society. I am happy to share more information with you directly.

The process of bringing them here takes time and money. Each immigration application costs $575. In addition, it requires travel to a third country for processing, which will take months. Additional expenses include medical testing, background checks, travel, and room and board. The rough estimates are $2,000 per person. Please give if you are able via the GoFundMe "Urgent Need for Friends of The Bailey!" It is a life-giving opportunity for a remarkable person and his family.

We can never thank you enough for helping to save him, our son.
